Microsound Systems is a South African based electronics manufacturing company which was founded in March 1986 by Donald MacLucas and John Charls. Our SLSI-80 school intercom complies with South African Bureau of Standards specification SABS 1066 – 1985. One of our biggest asset is that we are a stable company. We have had the same phone numbers and physical address for the last 23 years.

Design Excellence is Engineered Into All of Our Products.
It was always the goal of Microsound to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Today we typically reinvest 10% or more of our sales (much higher than the industry average) into developing new products. This investment helps us maintain an impressive portfolio of leading edge products designed to fulfill customer needs.

Computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) enables us to electronically transmit designs directly to the pcb manufacturing plants to create circuit boards and other components. This sophisticated approach increases product reliability while decreasing both cost and time to market.

We are equipped with the latest tools for electronic, and software design. From the beginning of the design process, we prototype to verify and validate product designs. The commitment to these advanced tools gives us the ability to optimize the product development process.

Microsound products are only as good as our local partner providing service and local support directly to our end-user customer. We are very particular about the Systems Integrators that represent the Microsound product lines. We offer System Integrators free in house training on our products.

To keep students and staff organized, every school has a daily schedule for classes and events. Microsound’s TS631 time switch keeps everyone on track.

The system's multiple class change "bell" schedules and programmable year long calendar accommodates all your different types of school days automatically; from half days, to exam times and early dismissal for conferences.
Zoned tone distribution allows you to sound tones in specific areas while not disturbing the rest of the facility.

Total Classroom Solution: On A Single System

School Timer
Bells ring on time to signal the end of the day or class change.

Hands-free Intercom
Teachers respond quickly to administrative staff from anywhere in the classroom, minimizing the disruption to instruction.

Priority Communications
Paging, tones and intercom to the classroom automatically take priority over classroom sound reinforcement systems. Emergency Paging always has the highest priority so important information is guaranteed to be heard by everyone.

One Touch Call-in
There are no numbers for teachers to dial or redial to get assistance. Your faculty can resume instruction or respond to an emergency. Call-backs can be displayed on the master station.
